What to do when you need an emergency Tooth Extraction

Emergencies happen, life happens in general. Things just don’t go how we plan most of the time it seems. For example, an emergency tooth extraction is not necessarily something I ever plan on needing to do, but if it happens… Well, I think I would want to be prepared.

So, what would constitute an emergency tooth extraction?

If you’ve been having a toothache for a few days, and it just seems to be getting worse, that’s probably the first sign of needing an emergency tooth extraction. Toothaches can cause excruciating pain even without needing an extraction, so as soon as you notice your tooth begins hurting, it would be wise to go get it checked out. This could potentially help prevent you from needing a tooth extraction if the problem is caught early on.

However, let’s say you do have a severe toothache and nothing has improved. A tooth extraction could be exactly what you need. Extractions will put a stop to your toothache and remove the infection in your mouth. So, all around, great benefits considering the fact you wouldn’t be in pain anymore.

Anyways, when you have determined that an emergency tooth extraction would be the best option the first thing you should do is contact us by phone if it is during normal business hours or by email at drkrisliggett@parklanedental.com if you find this issue after normal hours. We will be directly in contact with your ASAP to get you the care you need.

The next step is coming into the dental office most convenient to you, whether it is our Creekmore, Central Mall, or Village on the Creeks locations. We will provide top-notch, quality care that will keep you comfortable and resolve your dental issues. Our job is to give you our greatest quality of care so that you can be happy and healthy in every way.

After the tooth extraction is complete, you should be on your way to a painless mouth and a happier smile! It is as easy as that. Let us help you, so next time you find yourself with a severe toothache, give us a call so we can take care of it for you.
